PATHfinder Real-Time PCR kits are primary tools for modern food and water quality and safety testing. The kits detect in different sample the presence and the identity of microrganisms through their DNA.The kits are developed according to the norms ISO22119, ISO20838, ISO16140 hence they include an internal amplification control, a positive and a negative control. This kit paired to an appropriate DNA extraction kit (e.g. Generon FASTfood - Cat# EXD009) allows for the detection of Listeria monocytogenes in less than 2 hours. Listeria monocytogenes can be detected in enriched media broth or in water samples collection filters. The kit in less than 30 minutes, without any DNA extraction step, allows also for the identification as Listeria monocytogenes of a colony isolated on a plated growth medium.
